Build Your Dreams, BYD in short has launched the much-awaited Seal electric sedan in the Indian market with a starting price of INR 41 lakh ex-showroom. BYD Seal Electric Sedan - Variants and Price The Seal sedan comes with three variants - Dynamic, Premium and Performance. The BYD Seal electric sedan in the Dynamic trim comes with a price tag of INR 41 lakh ex-showroom. The Premium variant of the BYD Seal comes with a price tag of INR 45.55 lakh ex-showroom. The top-of-the-line Performance variant of the BYD Seal comes with a price tag of INR 53 lakh ex-showroom. The Seal Sedan comes with four colour options. Also, customers can now book the BYD Seal electric sedan by putting down an amount of INR 125,000/-. BYD Seal Electric Sedan - Technical Specifications Powering the BYD Seal are two powertrain options. The Dynamic variant comes with a 150 kW/310 Nm electric motor with rear wheel drive. The Dynamic version comes with a 61.4 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 510 km on the NEDC cycle. The Premium variant comes with a 230 kW / 360 Nm electric motor with rear wheel drive. The mid-spec variant features a 82.5 kW battery pack that offers an NEDC range of 650 km on a single charge. The top-spec Performance variant comes with a 390 kW high-performance squirrel-cage induction electric motor. The electric motor with 4-wheel drive technology is capable of propelling the Seal electric vehicle from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds. In addition to this, the BYD Seal in the Performance trim comes with a 82.5 kWh battery pack. The battery claims to offer a driving range of 570 km on a single charge. At a 150 kW DC fast charger the BYD Seal can recharge from SOC 30% to 80% in just 26 minutes. The BYD Seal sedan measures 4800mm in length, 2150mm in width, 1460mm in height and comes with a 2929mm of wheelbase. BYD Seal Electric Sedan - Technology BYD employs technologies such as an 8-in-1 electric powertrain system which VCU, BMS, MCU, PDU, DC-DC controller, on-board charger, drive motor and transmission together improving efficiency and optimises space utilisation. The BYD Seal electric sedan also comes with an advanced high-efficiency heat pump system as standard increasing low temperature driving range. The Seal also comes with CTB (Cell-To-Body) technology which integrates the Blade Battery with the car's body forming a strong sandwich. This structure is capable of achieving a torsional rigidity of 40,500 Nm/degree. In addition to this, the BYD seal also comes with the all-new BYD e-Platform 3.0. The platform is exclusively designed for pure electric vehicles and offers efficiency and safety. BYD Seal Electric Sedan - Safety The BYD Seal electric sedan has already received a full 5-stars for safety at the EuroNCAP which carries one of the stringent crash safety assessment. In addition to this, the BYD Seal EV also comes with iTAC. iTAC intelligently distributes the drive torque, utilises torque shift, appropriates torque reduction and negative torque output. iTAC reduces skidding making cornering faster, more stable and enhancing safety of the passengers. BYD offers multiple airbags, Child Presence Detection (CPD), ISOFIX and more. The Seal electric sedan also comes with Advanced Driver Assistance System. BYD Seal Electric Sedan - Features The BYD Seal Electric Sedan comes with an X-shaped design which has won the coveted iF Design Award. On the inside the piece de resistance is the rotatable 15.6-inch multimedia touchscreen. The BYD Seal also comes with a 10.25-inch TFT full LCD instrument panel and a heads-up display. The car also comes with a dual-zone climate control PM2.5 filter and negative-ion generator. The Seal sedan also comes with HIFI Dynaudio Premium Sound with 12 state-of-the-art speakers. The electric car also features integrated sport seats with ventilation, heating and electrical adjustment.
