BMW R12 GS powertrain The R12 GS is powered by a 1,170cc air/oil-cooled boxer twin engine, delivering 109 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a shaft drive, ensuring smooth power delivery. The bike also features a suite of electronics, including four ride modes—Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro—along with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and lean-sensitive ABS. BMW R12 GS design In terms of design, the R12 GS is a head-turner. It features a tubular space frame with a raised steering head, giving it a commanding stance. The bike comes with a 21-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel as standard, with an optional 18-inch rear wheel available in the Enduro Package Pro. The suspension setup includes fully adjustable upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a rear monoshock, offering excellent off-road capabilities. The R12 GS also boasts several practical features. It includes a classic round instrument panel, with an option for a digital display. Other highlights include keyless ignition, adaptive headlights, and a 12V socket for powering devices. The bike is available in three striking color options, adding to its visual appeal.
