Electric mobility brand Svitch has launched the new CSR 762 electric bike in India. The Svitch CSR 762 comes with a price tag of INR 189,999 ex-showroom. The brand has also revealed that enthusiasts can show their Expression of Interest (EOI) by paying INR 1/-. It is important to note that EOI is not as same as pre-booking but helps the brand identify interest of customers in specific territories. However, Svitch reveals that customers with EOI will be on a priority basis.
On the design front, the CSR 762 features a butch and boxy design. The EV gets a rectangular headlamp and a sleek tail section. The electric bike also gets a boxy mid-section and a pod-style instruments cluster. The bike also gets alloy wheels shod in road specific tyres. Svitch offers a telescopic front suspension and mono shock on the rear. The bike also comes with tall handlebars for an easy riding position.
Powering the Svitch CSR 762 is a mid-mounted electric motor capable of propelling the bike to a claimed top speed of 120kmph. The brand also claims that the Svitch CSR 762 also offers a range of 190 km on a single charge. Svitch reveals that the motor and other components are designed in such a way that they do not require liquid cooling and air cooling is enough. Also, the electric bike users can carry two extra batteries for a longer ride.
The Svitch CSR 762 comes with features such as built-in phone holder. The company claims that the holder has been designed in such a way that the phone can be used as a secondary display. The Svitch CSR 762 claims to be the first electric motorcycle with a 40-litre boot. The boot is capable of accommodating a helmet and is conveniently located in the front. The company will be offering the Svitch CSR 762 in three colour options.
