SMIPL is a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan. They manufacture 2-wheelers that are claimed to be best suited for the Indian market. Coming into force from February, 2006 its always gained the trust and support from its customers.
At present, in April 2023, Suzuki has posted a 23.3% year-on year growth. As per records, 88,731 units have been sold in the 2-wheeler segment. Pertaining to the domestic market the company sold 67,259 and exported 21,472 units in the same year.Mr. Kenichi Umeda, MD, SMIPL, is farsighted about the growth of Suzuki in the Indian market at a double-digit rate. Suzuki has successfully achieved the benchmark of the 7 millionth production milestone.
Suzuki is a well-known brand name for manufacturing motorcycles, big bikes and scooters. Till date, it has successfully designed and manufactured Gixxer SF, V-Storm SX, Hayabusa, Suzuki Burgman, Suzuki Katana (which was recently launched in India).
Hayabusa is now also available in different colors. It firmly established its Ultimate Sportsbikes in 3 colors namely, Metallic Matte Black, Metallic Thunder Gray and Candy Daring Red and lastly Pearl Brilliant White and Pearl Vigor Blue. This 1340cc engine is accompanied by S.I.R.S (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System). It helps the rider to adjust the power delivery, traction control, cruise control, motion Track ABS, quick shift and launch control.
Katana is the latest and an electronically advanced product of Suzuki which is accompanied by electronic refinements and controls that can result in the betterment of its overall performance. Katata also comprises S.I.R.S so the riding experience becomes more predictable, controllable and easier to operate. 999cc, 4-stroke DOHC liquid-cooled, inline four engine producing 106 Nm torque @9250 rpm Also satisfies BS6 emission standards.
Suzuki continues to sell Hayabusa from 15-17 lakh on-road price and Suzuki Katana at 13,66,525 ex-showroom.
