Suzuki Motorcycle India has disclosed its sales figures for October 2023, revealing a total of 100,507 units sold during the month. This represents a notable increase of 14.4 per cent when compared to the same period in the previous year. However, when juxtaposed with the September 2023 sales, which amounted to 97,936 units, the growth rate appears more modest, standing at just 2.62 per cent.
Suzuki’s success extends to both domestic and international markets. The brand achieved its highest-ever domestic sales with 84,302 units while simultaneously exporting 16,205 units globally. This surge in domestic sales reflects a remarkable year-over-year growth of 21 per cent compared to the same period in the prior year, where the brand sold 69,634 units in the domestic market.
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., expressed gratitude for this outstanding performance. The company acknowledged the crucial support from loyal customers, esteemed business partners, and dedicated team members. The company further emphasized that this remarkable milestone and Suzuki Motorcycle India’s consistent growth in October 2023 testify to the unwavering support from two-wheeler buyers and their patronage. Suzuki will continue steadfastly committed to providing exceptional services to its customers.
Escalating worries about air pollution and its detrimental impact on the environment have sparked a heightened interest in electric vehicles (EVs) as a more eco-friendly and sustainable mode of transportation. Electric two-wheelers are increasingly perceived as a cleaner substitute for traditional gasoline-powered motorcycles.
The Indian government has implemented a range of incentives and subsidies aimed at incentivizing the adoption of EVs, including electric two-wheelers. These measures encompass subsidies for electric two-wheeler purchases, reduced GST (Goods and Services Tax) rates, and income tax benefits, all designed to encourage the transition to electric mobility.
The fluctuating and often soaring fuel prices have made consumers more financially conscious. Electric two-wheelers have emerged as a compelling choice, offering a cost-effective and energy-efficient alternative. They come with lower operational costs and remain impervious to the volatility in fuel prices.
