Suzuki as a brand expressed its satisfaction with the sales performance. The company highlighted that the double-digit sales increase indicates robust demand for Suzuki motorcycles. This is both in the domestic market and overseas. The company extended its gratitude to customers and dealer partners for their continuous support.
In addition to the sales success, Suzuki Motorcycle India made significant product announcements in June 2023. They brought in the E20-compliant V-Strom SX, Gixxer 250 series, and Burgman Street EX. With these launches, all of Suzuki’s domestic two-wheeler products now comply with E20 regulations. The current focus is on promoting a greener and cleaner future. This achievement is ahead of the timeline set by the Government of India.
Suzuki Motorcycle India, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, had been forced to halt production at its factories. This was due to a cyber-attack on its operations. The production has been stopped since Saturday, May 10. And it is estimated that the company has incurred a production loss of over 20,000 vehicles during this period.
To address the situation, Suzuki Motorcycle recently informed its ecosystem about the cyber-attack. They then postponed its annual supplier conference, which was originally scheduled for the following week. The company has taken measures to mitigate the impact of the attack and has informed the relevant authorities. The incident is currently under investigation.
The cyber-attack has temporarily disrupted Suzuki Motorcycle India’s manufacturing operations, causing significant production losses. The company is working to rectify the situation and resume normal production as soon as possible.
