The GSX-8S is a naked streetfighter that is powered by a 776cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 83 bhp and 78 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quickshifter. The bike features a sharp and aggressive design, with LED headlights, taillight, and indicators. The bike also comes with a five-inch TFT instrument cluster, ride-by-wire, traction control, ABS, and three riding modes. The GSX-8S is expected to be priced around ₹8 lakh – ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the likes of the Kawasaki Z900, Triumph Street Triple, and Ducati Monster. The bike has a tall and rugged stance, with a beak-like front fairing, a windscreen, and a luggage rack. The bike also has a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup, with Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour tyres. The suspension system consists of fully adjustable Showa USD forks and a rear mono-shock.

The braking system comprises dual front discs and a single rear disc. The V-Strom 800DE also boasts of features such as LED illumination, five-inch TFT, traction control, ride-by-wire, low RPM assist, ABS, and ride modes. The V-Strom 800DE is likely to be priced around ₹9 lakh – ₹11 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the Triumph Tiger 900 and the BMW 850GS.
