Suzuki Motorcycle India sold 68,018 units in June 2022

Suzuki Motorcycle India has posted its June 2022 sales figure. The two-wheeler maker sold a total of 68,018 units in June 2022. The figure includes 52,929 units in the domestic market and 15,089 units as exports for the given period. Overall, the company witnessed a 37 per cent sales growth in June 2022 compared to June 2021. There has been some consistency in the sales figure for Suzuki. Thus, indicating a growing demand for Suzuki two-wheelers in India and the overseas markets. Suzuki will aim to keep up this momentum and further add more volumes to its business.

Suzuki Katana Has Arrived In India

The much-anticipated product from Suzuki, the Katana, has finally arrived in India. Under the ‘Forging a New Street Legend’ concept, Katana is more of a sporty-looking street motorcycle. With the launch, Suzuki has also confirmed that the Katana is now available at all Suzuki’s Bike Zone dealerships. Customers will choose from two colour options: Metallic Matt Stellar Blue and Metallic Mystic Silver. Suzuki has put on a generous price tag for the motorcycle that starts at INR 13,61,000 (ex-showroom).

What Is The Katana?

Powering the motorcycle is a 999cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine, which is the same as the GSX-S1000. The performance figures read as 152 PS of power at 11,000 rpm and maximum torque of 106 Nm at 9,250 rpm. There is a host of added equipment to enhance the riding experience. This includes Ride-by-wire Electronic Throttle System that enables new electronic control systems like RPM Assist and Suzuki Easy Start System. Other riding aids include Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) and Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS). The equipped traction control system of the Katana offers 5 levels of adjustability, thus adding to the flexibility. Riders can also choose from three different riding modes. Based on the selection, the bike changes its characteristics.
