Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki has announced the launch of its all-new Avenis, a 125cc scooter for the Indian market. More specifically, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd (SMIPL) has introduced the Standard Edition of the Avenis scooter in India. Prior to this launch, the company launched the Ride Connect Edition and the Race Edition of the Avenis in India. SMIPL comments that during the third month of the Avenis’ deliveries, it quickly became a high-demand product amongst Indian buyers.
2022 Suzuki Avenis Standard Edition: Design & Price
The Suzuki Avenis continues to boast an advanced sporty design complimented with motorcycle-inspired details for additional flair and style. These include a split grab rail, sporty muffler cover, stylish alloy wheels, and trendy graphics with bold SUZUKI branding. The Standard Edition also sports the external hinge-type fuel cap for easy refuelling and a body-mounted LED headlamp.
Along with a large under-seat storage space, the scooter also sports motorcycle-inspired rear indicators and an LED tail lamp. SMIPL has priced the Avenis Standard Edition at INR 86,500 (ex-showroom) with a choice of 4 dual-tone colour options. These include Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey/Metallic Lush Green, Pearl Blaze Orange/Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Matte Black/Glass Sparkle Black, and Pearl Mirage White/Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey.
2022 Suzuki Avenis Standard Edition: Technical Specs & Features
Powering the Avenis Standard Edition is a 124.3cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled, 2-valve SOHC engine with fuel injection technology. This engine develops 8.7 PS of power and 10 Nm of torque matched to a CVT-type transmission. Equipped with a Kick/Electric Starter System, the scooter sports a 5.2-litre fuel tank and also gets a wheelbase of 1,265mm.
Additionally, the scooter also sports a ground clearance of 160mm and a seat height of 780mm for enhanced riding convenience. SMIPL has equipped the scooter with 12-inch front alloy wheels and 10-inch rear wheels with disc and drum brakes, respectively. The scooter sports a telescopic front suspension and a rear swingarm for ride comfort and handling. Last but not the least, the Avenis Standard Edition gets a front storage box with a USB socket.
