The other paint options available on the Suzuki Katana are the Metallic Mystic Silver and Glass Sparkle Black. These colour themes get a black finish on the parts and black with silver finish on the seats. While the Candy Red paint theme features a textured seat with red stitching.
The Katana roadster features a squared LED headlamp unit, LED marker lights, a small flyscreen, a mini fairing, angular tank and tank cowling, scooped seat, black alloy wheels, black-finished engine and blacked out 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust etc. The Katana gets fully digital LCD instruments console, three-mode traction control, a bosch ABS unit etc.
In the engine department, the Suzuki Katana features a 999cc in-line 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC motor with a long-stroke design that has a 73.4mm bore and 59.0mm stroke that produces 150 ps of power and 108 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with a back-torque limiting clutch. The braking power comes from 310mm dual discs on the front with radially mounted Brembo Monoblock callipers and a single disc with a floating calliper on the rear wheel.
Recently the brand completely sold out its flagship model the Hayabusa in the Indian market and also discontinued production of the same. The Suzuki Katana could be introduced to the Indian market to fill the gap created in the brand’s Big Bike portfolio. The Japanese manufacturer also showcased this bike at the Auto Expo 2020 to gauge market sentiment for such a motorcycle.
