Suzuki Motorcycles India PVT LTD (SMIPL) unveiled the only cruiser in the brand’s India portfolio with a BS6 emission compliant engine at the 15th Edition of the Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi. Suzuki has now launched the BS6 Intruder 155 at the price of INR 1.20 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. Recently, the brand also launched the Gixxer series 155cc motorcycles to BS6 standards.
The Suzuki Intruder 155 derives its styling inspiration from the Intruder M1800 cruiser and features the signature triangular Intruder styled halogen headlamp with body-coloured headlight shroud, angular tank cowling, fully digital instruments cluster, straight ergonomic handlebars with styled covers, ergonomic seats and a comfortable forward set rider’s triangle, LED taillights, twin exhaust tips with angular covers and an optional backrest for the pillion.
Powering the Inruteder 155 is a 154.9cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke SOHC engine with BS6 emission compliance that produces 13.6 ps of power and 13.8 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed transmission. The fuel delivery system is via an electronic fuel injection system and is also equipped with the brand’s SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) which is a developmental concept from Suzuki that improves combustion through high-compression, reducing friction to minimise frictional loss, optimization of the cooling system enhancing the motorcycles efficiency as well as performance.
In terms of the mechanical hardware, the Suzuki Intruder 155 comes with a conventional telescopic suspension on the front, a monoshock mounted on the swingarm, hydraulically operated disc brakes on both the wheels, 17-inch alloys front and back shod in 100/80 front and 140/60 rear tubeless tyres. The Intruder 155 in terms of its dimensions measures in at 2130mm in length, 805mm in width, 1095mm in height, 1405mm wheelbase, 170mm of ground clearance and 740mm seat height. The Intruder 155 weighs 152 kgs at the kerb and has a 11-litre fuel tank.
The BS6 compliant Suzuki Intruder is available in three colour options – Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Glass Sparkle Black / Metallic Matte Titanium Silver and Metallic Matte Black / Candy Sanoma Red.
