Suzuki has launched the CBS equipped variant of the Access 125 scooter which runs with drum brakes. The Suzuki Access 125 drum brake CBS has been priced at INR 56,667 ex-showroom Delhi. Suzuki had first introduced CBS on the Access 125 with a disc brake last year, and now since all two-wheelers need to have this safety feature, it has been introduced on the lower trims as well.
With CBS, the rider will be able to make use of both brakes on the Access 125 by just using the left brake lever which is technically the rear brake. Combined braking will help in reducing the stopping distance, and also effective braking. This will also maintain a safe balance between the front and rear brake forces helping in stability.
The Suzuki Access 125 comes powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke motor producing 8.7 PS of power and 10.2 Nm of torque matched to a CVT gearbox.
