Spotted in India – Skoda Enyaq iV electric crossover

Skoda will soon make its entry into the Indian EV space with its Enyaq iV crossover. The Enyaq iV was recently photographed in the country. According to sources, Skoda imported the car to India for testing purposes. This is the first time we have seen the car in India. However, there is no confirmation regarding the Enyaq iV’s launch.

Skoda Enyaq iV Spy Photos – What Do We See?

Skoda imported a few prototypes to the country. Out of these, the model which we can see in the spy shots is the Enyaq iV 80x. The 80x is the highest powertrain specification available with the Enyaq iV. The Enyaq iV 80x gets a 77 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor AWD setup. It produces 265 HP and also supports 125 kW DC fast charging. The range for the model as per the WLTP cycle is 513 km on a single charge. The range on offer could make it one of the longest-range EVs in India. The AWD also enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 6.9 seconds.

Internationally, the Enyaq iV is available in a number of trim levels. The car in the spy pics seems to be the Lounge trim. It is identifiable by the contrasting black and light grey theme. Skoda calls this the Anodised Cross Decor. The model in the photos also features 19-inch Proteus wheels, a 13-inch touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster. Other equipment also includes ambient lighting and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The upholstery is a mix of microfiber fabric and leather. The seats also have contrasting yellow stitching.

Although the model in the spy shots is one of the top-spec ones, Skoda will also likely offer lower-spec models. These lower-spec models will get two-wheel-drive variants that will help Skoda offer them at a lower price point.

Skoda Enyaq iV – Indian Launch

Skoda will likely bring in the Enyaq iV as a CBU to India. The 2,500-unit import rule that allows exemption from homologation is a safe bet for the brand. According to sources, Skoda will likely announce the prices around Auto Expo 2023. Following this, deliveries could start around March 2023.
