Skoda’s new compact-SUV spotted testing under camouflage again

Skoda in the recent past revealed that the brand will soon be launching a new compact SUV in the Indian market. The compact SUV is also likely to come with two iterations ICE as well as Electric. The compact SUV was also seen testing on public roads, again. This leads us to believe that the SUV is likely to make its debut soon.

Latest Spyshots

According to spyshots, the Skoda compact SUV with full camouflage covers. In the past too, the Skoda Compact SUV has been spied under heavy camouflage and only a handful of details were revealed. However, a better side profile shot of the compact SUV reveals its design silhouette as well as light signatures.

The Skoda compact SUV is likely to be quite similar to the Skoda Kushaq. However, reports suggest that the car could be the shrunken down version of the Kushaq SUV. The spied images also reveal a similar fascia and sides. Only the rear section of the car appears different.

But Skoda is likely to make changes to the fascia, bonnet design as well as bumpers to help differentiate between the two. Furthermore, the rear of the new compact SUV appears to be completely new, but it is likely to reverberate well with Skoda’s design language.

Powertrain and Features

Powering the new Skoda compact SUV will be a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This engine is likely to produce around 115 Hp of power and will be paired to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The car is also likely to come with features such as a 360-degree camera and an Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) for safety. However, the compact SUV may not come with features such as a panoramic sunroof to reduce costs.
