Skoda Yeti facelift launched at Rs. 18.63 lakh

Skoda Auto India has launched the Yeti facelift in India at prices starting from Rs. 18.63 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra). This mid-life makeover will be available for sale in a single ‘Elegance’ trim level.

Price (ex-showroom Maharashtra):

  • 4×2 Elegance – 18.63 lakh
  • 4×4 Elegance – 20.14 lakh

The new Yeti will be powered by a 2.0L TDI engine in two states of tune. A 2WD variant with 109 BHP and 250 Nm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox; and a 4WD variant with 138 BHP and 320 Nm mated to a s-speed manual gearbox. There is no DSG automatic transmission on offer and Skoda claims a fuel efficiency of 17.72 kmpl for the 2WD variant and 17.67 kmpl for the 4WD variant.

Skoda has extensively revised the Yeti from the exterior, and it looks a lot less quirky than it did before. It incorporates the new Skoda design language with clean edges and precise horizontal lines as opposed to a rather curved design language before. Exterior features include new bi-xenon headlamps, LED DRLs, new signature Skoda front grille with the new Skoda logo, redesigned front bumper, conventionally placed redesigned fog lamps with cornering functionality, two new 16” alloy wheel designs, typical Skoda ‘C’ shaped tail lamps with LED and a reworked rear bumper as well. The new Yeti is available in fresh exterior colour schemes including white, black, brown, blue, silver, red and orange. One can opt for a contrast roof paint which can either be black, silver or white.

On the inside you get a new 3-spoke steering wheel, wooden inserts on the dashboard, cruise control, Bolero head unit, 12-way electrically adjustable front seat with memory function, power folding rear view mirrors, optical park display with parking sensors at the front and back, start/stop button with keyless entry and the varioflex seating option.

Safety features include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA), electronic tyre pressure monitoring, Anti Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Engine Brakin Control (EBC), hill hold and hill descent control and 6 airbags as standard.
