Skoda Vision 7S – what to expect?

As per a report published online, Skoda’s Brand Director, Petr Janeba, has confirmed that the company will launch the Vision 7S EV in India in 2027. The production model is currently under development and it can house an 89 kWh battery pack that will offer a range of up to or maybe more than 600 km per charge.

The upcoming three-row EV was showcased to the Indian audience at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in concept form. Its large dimensions and futuristic cabin design gathered a lot of attention. Skoda is now aiming to launch the production model with a three-row layout. It will also become the first model to debut Skoda’s Modern Design language in India when launched.

While there is not much information available about the production model, we can safely assume that it will host a refreshed design that will set it apart from the rest of the Skoda lineup. Additionally, it will get a big infotainment screen that will be able to rotate in vertical as well as horizontal positions.

As far as the battery and specs go, the concept model was showcased at the Auto Expo and had an 89 kWh battery pack. It also supported rapid charging of up to 200 kW. Moreover, Skoda is likely going to equip it with a RWD as well as an AWD drivetrain.

Once launched in India, the Vision 7S will be positioned above the upcoming Skoda Enyaq EV. We are assuming that it will be priced north of the Rs 50 lakh mark for sure.

Our verdict

Skoda’s approach to the Indian car market has changed rapidly in the previous year. The Chez car manufacturer has accepted its flaws and it is now working to get things in the right direction. A flagship model and that too an EV, can set the premium product game right for Skoda in India.
