Skoda India puts forward yet another record-breaking month in terms of sales figures. For the given month, the carmaker sold a total of 5,152 units. The figure, when compared to the same period last year, which was at 961 units, results in a jump of 436 per cent. Furthermore, this is also the brand’s second-highest number of units sold in a month ever. Skoda’s recent introduction of Slavia is racking up a significant amount of sales for the brand. In addition to this, Kushaq continues to bring home success.
Having spent close to 20 years in the country, Skoda pretty much understands the business now in the Indian automotive market. The brand has enhanced its customer-centric initiatives, thus winning more trust from the consumers. At the start of 2021, Skoda had a total of 134 dealerships across the country. And as it stands now, the count has increased to 194. In addition to this, Skoda India also provides a 4-year/100,000 km. In comparison, most of the manufacturers in India give a standard warranty of 3 years.
Moreover, customers can also avail of add on services like service packages, additional 2 years/unlimited km Parts Warranty, Battery Warranty, and a standard 3-year Paint Warranty with a 6-year Corrosion Warranty. All these add up perfectly for the customers looking for a car in 2022. In addition to this, Skoda is also synonymous with the fun-to-drive factor. Hence, it attracts a significant number of car enthusiasts to the showrooms.
Skoda has made an emphatic start with its India 2.0 initiative. Both the Kushaq and Slavia have made an instant impact in the market. Most importantly, the sales figures are also rising, which was the brand’s first aim. Recently, there were reports suggesting that Skoda is working on a sub-4-metre compact SUV project. We expect Skoda India’s sales volume to break all records if this gets through. With all these new launches and identity, we expect Skoda to grow bigger as a brand in India.
