Skoda Auto India is on a sales streak and aims to post its highest-ever annual sales for 2022. Major contributors to this have been the recently launched all-new Skoda Slavia and Skoda Kushaq. Skoda launched the Slavia in India with the aim to rewrite the mid-size premium sedan segment and take on the established rivals. Skoda has been receiving an overwhelming response for Slavia. The model has, within a month since launch, garnered over 10,000 bookings in India. The brand took it to Twitter, showcasing an overview from the SLAVIA World Dynamic Premiere held in Goa to celebrate the booking milestone.
The pricing for the all-new Skoda Slavia starts at INR 10.69 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to INR 17.79 lakh ex-showroom for the top-spec variant. Skoda offers the Slavia in three variants – Active, Ambition, and Style. The Active variant is the entry-level variant. The car features a 1.0-litre TSI engine and only a manual transmission. The Ambition variant starts with a sticker price of INR 12.39 lakh ex-showroom for the manual transmission and INR 13.39 lakh ex-showroom for the automatic transmission.
The Style variant starts with INR 13.59 lakh ex-showroom for the non-sunroof version and INR 13.99 lakh ex-showroom for the sunroof version of the manual transmission options. The automatic version of the Style variant costs INR 15.39 lakh ex-showroom. Furthermore, customers can have the Style variant with also a 1.5-litre TSI EVO engine equipped with either manual or DSG automatic transmission priced at INR 16.19 lakh ex-showroom and INR 17.79 lakh ex-showroom, respectively.
Powering the Slavia is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged TSI engine. It produces 115 PS of power and 178 NM of torque mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It is rated to deliver a fuel efficiency of up to 19.47 kmpl. Also available is a new generation 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged TSI EVO engine. The 1.5-litre engine produces 150 PS of power and 250 NM of torque. It is available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. It comes with features such as a VGT (Variable vane Geometry Turbocharger) and ACT (Active Cylinder Technology) to ensure powerful performance as well as optimum fuel efficiency, which is rated at up to 18.72 kmpl.
