Skoda has just revealed the interiors of the all-new Slavia in the Indian market. The Skoda Slavia will position itself above the entry-level Skoda Rapid sedan and below the premium Skoda Octavia in the Indian market. Recently, the brand also revealed the exterior design sketch of the Slavia and its dimensions. The company also announced that the Skoda Slavia would underpin the heavily localised MQB-A0-IN platform. The venerable platform made its debut in the Indian market with the Skoda Kushaq.
According to Skoda, the Slavia will come with a multi-layer dashboard with a sharp and chiselled layout. The brand offers a new-generation two-point steering wheel with multiple controls. The car will come with a digital instruments cluster with SKODA lettering on the hood. The Skoda Slavia also comes with rounded air vents on the side joined by a seemingly floating trim strip in a contrasting colour. The car will also get a free-standing infotainment display that clearly stands out inside the cabin.
Underneath the 25.4-cm touchscreen display is a character line referencing the silhouette of the SKODA grille design. It also serves as a hand-rest when operating the display, reverberating with the ‘Simply Clever’ ergonomics of the Slavia. The interiors also feature thin chrome strips on the dashboard, around the instruments cluster hood, air-conditioning vents and the gear shift lever. Skoda will also offer contoured seats along with premium seat upholstery on the Slavia sedan. The brand is also likely to offer rear AC vents and mobile charging points in the second row of the premium mid-size sedan.
Powering the Skoda Slavia could come with two engine options from the Volkswagen Group’s TSI engine family. The entry-level model is likely to come 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. Expect higher-spec models to feature the 1.5-litre TSI four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The Slavia will measure 4,541 mm in length, 1,752 mm in width, 1,487 mm in height and come with a wheelbase of 2,651 mm.
The brand also announced that the Skoda Slavia would make its world debut on 18th November 2021.
