Skoda Auto has unveiled today its largest workshop facility in India. The new facility is in association with SGA cars in Coimbatore, India. The brand plans to double their dealer network across fifty new cities in India over the next three years under the ‘INDIA 2.0’ project.
The new state of the art workshop is spread over 49,585 square feet equipped with 50 bays which can service 20,000 Skoda cars per annum. The facility is home to more than 40 after sales personnel dedicated to service Skoda cars.
With the new facility which is located on the Uppilipalayam Main Road, Sowripalayam Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu; Skoda plans to make its presence stronger in the southern Indian market. Skoda Auto’s ‘Green Future’ vision is seen in this facility as it promotes an eco-friendly environment and houses rainwater harvesting capabilities.
Recently Skoda Auto also introduced its ‘EasyBuy’, a buyback scheme across its Superb model range. The EasyBuy scheme offers an assured 57% buy back at the end of a three-year contract. The Skoda flagship car, the Superb, comes with bi-xenon headlights, adaptive front light system, Parktronic features and 17-inch alloy wheels. The interiors of the car come with leather upholstery, dark brushed trim, a three-zone climate control, a digital infotainment system, automatically dimming interior and exterior rear view mirrors.
The engine on the Skoda Superb is a 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine producing 177 HP of power coupled to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine producing 174 HP of power coupled to a 6-speed DSG automatic.

Skoda Auto also launched the ‘Skoda Shield Plus’ which provides 24×7 road-side assistance, motor insurance and extended warranty – all incorporated in one product. It is available across the Skoda Auto line-up in India which includes Rapid, Octavia, Superb and the Kodiaq SUV.
