Ford India has announced the launch of the ‘Blu’ edition of its compact-sedan Aspire. The new sedan is the limited edition Aspire Blu which is styled for the Indian Team in support of the upcoming Cricket World Cup.
The Aspire Blu features a black mesh grille with black surrounds, body decals with a dual tone roof, fog lamps are integrated with the bumper and comes with a ‘blue touch’. The Aspire Blu also features 15-inch black finish alloy wheels. On the interiors, the Aspire Blu features a blue theme and includes push button start/stop, rear parking sensors, USB slots, leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and satellite navigation system, rear-view camera, automatic air conditioning, power windows and more.
The engine on the Aspire Blu is 1.2L TiVCT petrol engine which produces 96 PS of power and 120 Nm of torque while delivering a fuel efficiency of 20.4 KM/L. Ford Aspire Blu also comes with 1.5L TDCi diesel engine delivering 100 PS power and 215 Nm of torque along with a fuel economy of 25.5 KM/L.
In terms of safety, the car has dual front airbags as standard and also includes features like ABS (anti-lock brakes) and EBD (electronic brake-force distribution).
The Aspire Blu is available in the Titanium manual transmission variant and is priced at INR 7.50 lakh for the 1.2-litre petrol and INR 8.30 lakh for the 1.5-litre diesel variant. The Aspire Blu is available in three colour options – White, Moondust Silver and Smoke.
The Ford Aspire Blu is produced at Ford India’s Sanand Factory in Gujarat. The Ford Aspire Blu will come with a 5-year/100,000 KM warranty, which includes 2-year factory warranty and 3-year extended warranty.
