Skoda has today officially launched the Kodiaq Scout SUV in India. This is yet another variant of the Kodiaq which is a 7-seater SUV for the Indian market. The Kodiaq Scout has been priced at INR 33.99 lakh ex-showroom.
Powering the Skoda Kodiaq is a 2.0L, 4-cylindee, turbocharged diesel engine producing 150 PS of power @ 3500-4000 RPM and 340 Nm of torque @ 1750-3000 RPM matched to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The highlight of the Skoda Kodiaq Scout is the Off Road Mode with hill descent control which makes it a capable 7-seater off-roader. This feature is not available on the standard Kodiaq SUV. Skoda is claiming a fuel efficiency number of 16.25 kmpl for the Kodiaq Scout. The 4×4 off-road mode of the Kodiaq Scout will show you all the data for off-roading on the touchscreen infotainment.
Kodiaq Scout specific changes include silver skid plates on the front and rear bumper, Alcantara leather seats with Scout branding, Scout badge on the front fender, Skoda lettering replacing the logo on the tail gate, new alloy wheel design, silver finished ORVM casing, all-black interiors, brushed wood interior accents and an off-road mode switch around the gear console.
Feature of the Skoda Kodiaq SUV include full LED headlamp with LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, 9-airbags, prefill braking system, stability control, off-road mode with hill descent control, panoramic electric sunroof with bounce back system, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink, Navigation and BossConnect via WLAN, 12-way electric adjustment for the front seats with memory function, black alcantara leather upholstery, ambient lights, handsfree parking, 3-zone climate control, rear view camera, virtual pedal with electric control for boot, drive mode selector, power nap package, boot torch which is detachable and unbrella storage which is signature Skoda.
Skoda has launched the Kodiaq Scout in 4 colour options which include white, grey, black and blue.
