Skoda Auto India has announced that its flagship SUV, the Skoda Kodiaq, will now be available only in the premium Laurin & Klement (L&K) variant. The company has also reduced the price of the vehicle by INR 2 lakh, making it a more attractive proposition for customers.
The Skoda Kodiaq has been a popular choice among SUV buyers for its combination of robust performance, luxurious features, and the brand’s renowned build quality. The decision to offer the Kodiaq exclusively in the L&K variant underscores Skoda’s commitment to providing premium features as standard to its customers.
The L&K variant is named after the founders of the company, Laurin and Klement, and represents the pinnacle of luxury and sophistication in Skoda’s lineup. It comes equipped with a host of high-end features such as a panoramic sunroof, 9 airbags, a Canton sound system, and full LED headlights. The interiors boast of leather upholstery and a digital instrument cluster, among other features.
The price reduction of INR 2 lakh is expected to make the Kodiaq L&K variant more accessible to a larger customer base. This strategic move by Skoda is likely to intensify competition in the premium SUV segment.
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K is powered by 1984 cc, 4 Cylinders Inline, 4 Cylinder, DOHC motor that puts out 188 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. It gets the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox with multiple drive modes. The Kodiaq also gets all-wheel drive with the L&K trim.
Customers can book the Skoda Kodiaq L&K variant at all authorized Skoda dealerships across the country. Deliveries are expected to commence soon.
