Skoda recently made headlines with the launch of Slavia, which is a C-segment sedan. Staying true to its core, Slavia is a proper Skoda, sorted driving dynamics, powerful engine, and of course, an elegant outlook. And, now you have one more reason that makes Slavia worth considering, its low service cost. Going by history, low service cost, and Skoda might seem like an oxymoron. But, now it seems the intense localisation under the India 2.0 initiative is helping Skoda in curtailing the cost significantly. As per Skoda, the service cost for a sedan starts at INR 0.46 per kilometre. This figure is for a duration of 5 years or 75,000 kms, whichever occurs earlier.
Skoda is offering a standard warranty of 4-year or 100,000 kms with the Sedan. Customers also have the option to extend it to 5 or 6 years with 150,000kms. To ensure peace of mind, Skoda is also offering multiple service package options called Skoda Superb care prepaid packages. For Slavia, customers can choose from three maintenance packages, categorised as Standard, Enhanced and Comprehensive.
These will further lower the cost of owning the sedan. These maintenance packages include various limited and extended wear and tear items under predefined maintenance and costs. Customers get the benefit of a price guarantee and protection against inflation and price fluctuations. These maintenance packages start at INR 24,999.
To take the step further ahead, Skoda is also offering some optional extra services under this campaign. One such service is compact workshops. This makes aftersales facilities accessible in all rural areas having a sales branch. Skoda claims customers can reduce their service cost per kilometre by almost 21 per cent. Furthermore, peace of mind also allows customers to book a service online or via WhatsApp. Roadside assistance is also a part of this campaign. Customers can extend their Skoda Assist Roadside Assistance plan to 9 years and the provision of to-the-door MobiCare Mobile Service for certain services.
