Skoda Auto unveiled its highly anticipated SUV, the Kylaq on November 6, 2024 and the bookings are going to start from December 2, 2024. The name ‘Kylaq’ is named by the Indian people itself. So Skoda Auto ran a campaign ‘Name Your Skoda’ in India, where the name ‘Kylaq’ came into existence. The name comes from the Sanskrit term for a crystal and is named after Mount Kailash.
The Kylaq is introduced in the Indian market at a starting price of INR 7.89 lakh. The car comes with a 1.0 litre, TSI petrol engine which generates the power of 114bhp and a torque of 178 Nm. It has a 6 speed manual transmission and 6 speed torque converter automatic. The Kylaq with Manual transmission can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 10.5 seconds and has a top speed of 188 kmph.
