The recently launched Skoda Kushaq is the talk of the town, but this has not been reflected in the sales figure as of yet. Of course, this is a very early stage, and the chances are that the sales will pick up pace in the upcoming festive season. For the month of July, Skoda sold a total of 1,822 units of the Kushaq. Meanwhile, the segment leader Hyundai Creta sold over 13,000 units in the same period.
Now that Volkswagen Taigun has also been launched, adding to the competition for Kushaq. The newly launched Mahinda’s XUV700 has completely disrupted the SUV segment with its jaw-dropping price. Chances are high that the new XUV700 will eat up the market share of quite a few cars in this segment.
