Simple Energy’s patented BMS achieves 95% efficiency

India’s leading electric vehicle company Simple Energy has revealed new information on the brand’s proprietary Battery Management System (BMS). Simple Energy has announced that the brand has employed talented engineers to design, build and develop the new BMS. The new BMS has been specifically designed for high-performance electric vehicles. The brand has also revealed that the new BMS will make its debut on the company’s flagship electric scooter, Simple One.

Simple Energy’s BMS Efficiency

Simple Energy has revealed that the new BMS will achieve an efficiency of 95%, which claims to be the highest in the industry. The brand claims that the scooter comes with a powerful 72 Nm motor and a 4.8 kWh battery. Thanks to the large battery pack, the Simple One electric scooter will aim to achieve 200+ km of range on a single charge in Eco mode. The battery system comes with a 10 kW solution which will help the brand with other vehicle applications and more space for other components such as a larger battery. The BMS is capable of detecting changes as minuscule as 0.6 mV. Thanks to this precise state of charge (remaining battery and range), estimations can be calculated.

Simple Energy BMS Benefits

The new BMS also includes systematic telemetry that is able to capture users’ rides and charge their vehicles. This can also help the company further improve efficiency via OTA updates. The modular solution can also be scaled up or down as per the application, for new form factors. The brand also reveals that battery modules can be interchanged, for the first time, without a master module. This helps further reduce costs and errors.

Simple One – Highlights

Simple One electric scooter comes with a price tag of INR 1,09,999 ex-showroom for the standard variant.
