One of India’s emerging EV start-ups Simple Energy has partnered with Siemens Digital Industries Software to boost EV mobility solutions. Via this partnership, Simple Energy will adopt Siemens’ Teamcenter X, cloud-based, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software to establish a digital foundation. Along with providing e-mobility solutions, the PLM technology will deliver consistent and rich product definitions to boost Simple Energy’s functionality. These include adopting new-age technologies, manufacturing excellence, producing top-quality products, and maintaining superlative R&D standards.
Simple Energy has also decided to partner up with Siemens’ Technology Partner, PROLIM to share its world-class technologies. With these technologies, Simple Energy will strengthen India’s resolve into becoming the EV capital of the world. Simple Energy stated that EVs are the future of sustainable mobility in India and digitization is vital for efficient manufacturing.

During the 2nd week of January 2022, Simple Energy announced its plans of delivering its flagship e-scooter in India. The company will begin deliveries of its flagship Simple One e-scooter, unveiled on 15th August 2021, from June 2022. Simple Energy also stated that it has recorded a milestone of 30,000 bookings for its e-scooter across the country. On microblogging site Twitter, the company announced that the deliveries of its e-scooter will occur simultaneously across multiple cities.
Simple Energy has also addressed the fact that it’s taking time to improve its e-scooter before its full-scale production and manufacturing. The Simple One e-scooter costs INR 1,09,999 (ex-showroom) and sports a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. With an acceleration time of 2.95 seconds from 0-40 kph, the e-scooter sports 4 riding modes- Eco, Ride, Dash, Sonic. The Simple One sports 4 color options- Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, and Grace White.
