Dassault System, announces that the Bangalore based Simple Energy is using the 3DExperience platform on the cloud via its value-added partner, EDS Technologies. Previously Simple Energy was a part of the SOLIDWORKS for Entrepreneurs program and then migrated to SOLIDWORKS applications to implement the design of the electric scooter with the help of its value-added partner, Best Engineering Aids and Consultancies. Simple Mark 2, the electric vehicle of Simple Energy was made with the use of design and governance applications based on the 3S-EXPERIENCE platform. On the global scale, Dassault System is in partnership with other electric vehicle companies like NIO, EVUM MOTORS, QEV Technologies, XYT, Canoo and several others to share its expertise of working.
Since the past few years, the number of electric companies is growing at a very rapid pace. The future of automotive is electric vehicles, and India is one of the largest automotive markets attracting a lot of players both domestic and foreign companies alike. Simple Energy claims to focus mainly on three aspects, range anxiety, affordability and charging time. With these three key areas of focus, Simple Energy will look into targeting the students, professionals and the 2nd and 3rd tier cities in India.
With the help of 3D-EXPERIENCE, Simple Energy could collaborate and streamline the design process as per production and manufacturing requirements thus retailing the cost to a great extent. The use of SOLIDWORKS and CATIA applications will help to fast track the production which will start from June 2021 with the products hitting the roads by the start of September 2021. All the major components which include, the design of components, chassis and battery development manufactured in India will make the pricing of the product very competitive and also resonates with the Indian Government’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat ideology.
Currently, the future of electric vehicles in India looks very positive with a lot of the companies investing heavily to develop their products, but the charging infrastructure is still at a nascent stage that needs more attention and investment.
