Rumour! Hyundai to launch next-gen Creta SUV in 2020

Hyundai’s Creta is the most popular SUV in the Indian market, and there is no denying this fact. The Creta has been a consistent seller ever since its launch, and rumours now suggest that Hyundai has already started working on the next-gen model. This will be a premium SUV from the brand and will rival the now popular Jeep Compass & the upcoming Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks.

Many car manufacturers are looking keenly at this segment, especially at the SUV format. The 2020 Hyundai Creta will sport an all-new design language, similar to the Kona which is expected in 2019, but more butch and evolved. The new Creta will also get the latest of features and safety equipment which will make it compliant to all future norms and customer expectations.

Hyundai might also consider launching the Creta is a 7-seater variant along with a 5-seater model like the current one. However, the larger footprint Creta could make a debut sometime later.

Powering the 2020 Hyundai Creta will be a new set of 1.5L petrol and diesel engine options. These motors will be BSVI compliant and will come patched to manual and automatic gearbox options.

Pricing of the Hyundai Creta will most definitely be bumped up with the new model, and the 7-seater Creta will overlap with the bigger Tucson SUV. Or may be, the Tucson might climb up the pricing ladder with the upcoming facelift model.
