New rumours are doing the rounds about Honda launching another premium product for India. While we wish the rumours turn out to be true, we hope the pricing is way better than what is being speculated. Reports suggest that Honda might be introducing the Forza 300 maxi-scooter here in India. The Honda Forza 300 will be retailed by the Big Wing premium dealerships and will become the most powerful and most expensive Honda scooter to go on sale in India, ever.
The Honda Forza 300 would be brought to India via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. No local assembly is being planned, and the brand might just be testing if there is enough demand for a premium scooter. While there could be a possible demand for such a maxi-scooter, the approximate ex-showroom price tag of INR 7 lakh would make the Forza 300 outrageously expensive, and most would not even consider it. Hence, this testing waters exercise might turn out to be futile.
Powering the Honda Forza 300 is a 279cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected motor producing 18.5 kW of power @ 7000 RPM and 27.2 Nm of torque @ 5750 RPM. The scooter will get a 256mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc brake coupled with a dual-channel ABS system. The front end of the scooter features telescopic suspension while the rear gets twin shock absorbers.
With a kerb weight of 182 kg, the Honda Forza 300 is not a light city commuter at all. The scooter will have 135mm on ground clearance, 780mm of seat height and the brand claims that it can deliver 31 kmpl of mileage.
The only affordable maxi-scooter in India as of now is the Suzuki Burgman Street.
The Honda Forza 300 comes with features such as electronically adjustable front windscreen, traction control, dual helmet storage under the sear, full LED lighting, digital + analogue speedo console, contoured seats, pillion grab rail, alloy wheels, full size exhaust, sporty rear view mirrors, forged levers, tubeless tyres and moreā¦
