Royal Enfield’s 4th season of Continental GT Cup – 2024

Royal Enfield is all set to kick off the fourth season of the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup ’24. The Continental GT Cup is back with more excitement and opportunities for amateur and professional riders alike.

The new season of the Continental GT Cup aims to foster a track racing culture at the grassroots level and make it more accessible across India. The ‘Pro-Am Series’ format will continue, allowing amateur and professional riders to compete together on the same grid. This year, an interesting new addition of teams has been introduced.

Registration and Selection Process

Rider registrations begin on May 13, 2024, encouraging amateur and prospective racers from all over the country to participate in this exhilarating racing competition. The preliminary rounds will be held at the Kari Motor Speedway, and the final round will take place at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.

Royal Enfield is giving an opportunity to amateur riders in addition to the professional riders across India to showcase their passion for racing at the upcoming four zonal selection rounds in Guwahati, Bangalore, Pune, and New Delhi. The best amateur riders will be selected for the upcoming brand-new GT Cup season.

Zonal Selection Rounds

Guwahati will host the zonal selection rounds on May 25–26, while Bangalore will host them on June 1-2. The rounds in Pune and Delhi are scheduled to take place between June 8–9 and June 15–16, respectively. Participants can register in either the professional or amateur category, depending on their eligibility requirements. The four zonal rounds will select 48 amateur riders, with the top 12 riders from each zone.

Kick-off of the Racing Season

The GT Cup amateur and pro final selections will kick off the racing season from June 27–30, 2024, at Kari, Coimbatore. A total of 48 amateur riders and 50 pro riders will be participating in this exciting event. Twelve of the fastest riders, representing both the pro and amateur categories, will earn a place on the final grid. In June 2024, the three-month racing spectacle will begin, culminating in November 2024 with three rounds and eight races: Round 1 (September 9–11), Round 2 (September 13–15), and Round 3 (November 15–17).

Pro-Am Series Concept

In the upcoming season, Royal Enfield is set to carry on with the Pro-Am series concept. This unique concept guarantees a thrilling racing experience as it brings together both amateur and professional racers on the same grid. This year, Royal Enfield will introduce an additional 3rd Team Championship by combining each professional with one amateur. Their individual championships and podiums will be honoured, but a new element of team strategy will be introduced, enhancing the racers’ skills.

Certification and Support

The fourth season of the JK Tyre presents Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup is scheduled to be held as part of the JK National Racing Championship 2024 and has received certification from the Federation of Motorsports Club of India (FMSCI). Rounds 1 and 2 will take place at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, while the grand season finale will be held at India’s largest racecourse, Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, marking a significant first.
