Looks like Royal Enfield is looking at introducing one more model based on the 450cc platform. This is expected to be a cruiser bike inspired from the Ducati Diavel. According to a media report, this bike is expected to make its debut by 2025 in both Indian as well as International markets.

Royal Enfield’s 450-based power cruiser : More details

Earlier this year, Royal Enfield had showcased many of its upcoming bikes at a dealer summit. Thanks to this, more details about the bike maker’s future plans were revealed. But, the 450-based cruiser was not reported at that time.

This Diavel-style cruise bike has been codenamed K1D. In terms of design, it bears resemblance to the Benelli 502C. That said, this could be a very early rendering and might not be the final look of the motorcycle.

In terms of design, we can expect the Royal Enfield Cruiser to get a wide handlebar, low seating position and a comfortable riding posture. The bike is likely to get a feet-forward position. There could be upside-down front forks along with a cruiser style body parts.

Like the Himalayan 450 and the Roadster 450, the cruiser too will sport this single-cylinder motor. It will develop around 40 BHP / 45 Nm and power the rear wheels via a 6-speed gearbox.

Feature-wise, expect this cruiser to match the offerings on the Himalayan 450. This could includes digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity and slipper clutch.

Royal Enfield’s plans for 3 new bikes

In other news, Royal Enfield is planning to launch 3 new motorcycles. These will sit in the 350-400cc segment. The move could be a response to the latest new launches in this segment – the Harley-Davidson X440 and the Triumph’s range of 400cc bikes.

Royal Enfield has been hard at work over the years. The Indian bike maker was paying close attention to rivals. The Harley-Davidson and Triumph launches in India by their respective JV partners was announced a while back and RE sprung into action.
