Royal Enfield sold 59,160 motorcycles in February 2022

Royal Enfield reports its monthly sales figure for February 2022. The motorcycle posted a total sales of 59,160 units with strong demand from the international market. The figure for the same period last year stood at 69,659 units, which translates to a growth of -15 per cent. In the domestic market, Royal Enfield sold 52,135 units for February 2022, down from 65,114 units for February 2021. This translates to a growth of negative 20 per cent. The export figure rose from 4,545 units in February 2021 to 7,025 for this year, thus gaining a growth of 55 per cent. With the opening up of businesses, the demand is again picking up pace. The demand from the overseas market is quite overwhelming, and the trend is the same for Royal Enfield as well.

Making its presence felt in motorsports, Royal Enfield concluded a thrilling inaugural season of the Continental GT Cup 2021. This was the event’s inaugural season, and it was quite eventful. Held at the much-coveted Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore this weekend, this was India’s first retro-racing championship. Anish Damodar Shetty from Hubli clinched the National Cup Champion title, with 64 points calculated over four rounds. In the second position was Allwin Xavier, with 61 points. Anfal Akhdar completed the podium standing with P3 and grabbed a total of 40 points.

ArtofMotorcycling, Royal Enfield’s designing platform initiative, successfully ended its second edition. This event was first introduced in 2020 to spot the creativity amongst the artists, creators and motorcycling enthusiasts. For this year, Royal Enfield registered more than 15K registrations, a 50% jump from the first year. In terms of numbers, the event has been quite successful. Backed up by renowned jury members like leading fashion designers Shantanu and Nikhil, illustrator Vimal Chandran and photographer Bobby Joshi, ArtofMotorcycling is an event with a lot of buzz. Staying true to Royal Enfield’s core philosophy, motorcycling remains the central theme of this event.
