Royal Enfield announces its sales report for November 2021. The company sold a total of 51,654 units for the given month. The figure for the same period last year stood at 63,782 units, thus resulting in a growth of -19 per cent. In the domestic market, Royal Enfield posted a total sales of 44,830 units for November 2021. For November 2020, the figure was 59,084 units, thus translating to a growth of -24 per cent. In terms of international business, the two-wheeler manufacturer exported a total of 6,824 units for the given period. Meanwhile, for November 2020, the figure was 4,698 units. This translates to a growth of 45 per cent.
Royal Enfield SG650 Concept
At the EICMA 2021, Royal Enfield unveiled its SG650 Concept motorcycle. This motorcycle shows an initial impression of the future Royal Enfield design. The motorcycle is a contemporary low slung design with a muscular power cruiser body. Retaining Royal Enfield’s trademark attributes like a round headlamp, and other key details, the SG650 remains a true Royal Enfield by its core.
Royal Enfield 120th Anniversary Edition
The company has launched a special Anniversary Edition of the 650 twins. Celebrating 120 years of existence, Royal Enfield has planned to produce a limited edition series of the 650 twins. Under this, the two-wheeler manufacturer will produce only 480 units of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
And interestingly enough, the 120 units of both motorcycles allotted for the Indian market are already sold out. The company mentioned that all 120 units of motorcycles sold out in record 120 seconds via an online sale. Royal Enfield has confirmed that they will start off with the online sale of this 120th Year Anniversary Edition in other markets like Europe, the Americas and South-East Asia. Royal Enfield expands its footprint in the international market. The company has now commenced operations of its local assembly unit and CKD facility in Thailand. With this, the company now has three local CKD units overseas, which are in Argentina, Colombia and Thailand.
