Royal Enfield sold a total of 44,133 motorcycles for the given month. The figure for the same period last year stood at 66,891 units. In the domestic market, the two-wheeler manufacturer sold a total of 40,611 units for October 2021, as against 62,858 units for October 2020. This translates to a growth of -35 per cent. In the exports, Royal Enfield posted a total sales of 3,522 units for the given month.
Meanwhile, the same for October 2020 stood at 4,033 units, thus garnering a growth of -13 per cent. Overall, the sales for October 2021 stood at 44,133 units, down from 66,891 units for October 2020. And hence this translates to growth of -34 per cent.
Royal Enfield concluded the Round 1 of the Continental GT Cup on a high. Marking its entry into motorsport for the first time, Royal Enfield did live up to its expectation. The first round of the Continental GT Cup was held at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, at the JK Tyre National Racing Championship (JKNRC) on 24th October 2021. A total of 20 racers on their Continental GT-R650 competed against each other.
These Continental GT-R650 were track-specific with some performance modifications. These mods enhanced the agility and performance of the motorcycle greatly. The Round 2 of the competition will take place at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, between November 18 -21.’ And we expect Round 2 to attract more people and spread the awareness of motorsport in India.
The two-wheeler manufacturer celebrating its 120th anniversary launched an exclusive range of limited-edition helmets. A total of 12 designs, each inspired by the twelve decades of the brand’s legacy, will represent Royal Enfield in its truest form. With this, Royal Enfield aims to retell its story to the customers and reflect upon the legacy of the brand. As of now, four helmets of this initiative have hit the showrooms and online stores. These are The Original, Racing V Twin, The Picnic Special and Birth of the Bullet. And unsurprisingly, they are sold out as well.
