The newly launched special edition Shotgun embraces the spirit of motorsports and retro racing. It is draped in a special three-tone paint scheme that includes firey red, light blue, and white colour combinations. Indeed, this paint scheme will remind you of the old-school Salt Lake racing motorcycles.
Moreover, there are tiny details that make it even more special. For example, it gets golden alloy wheels, blue-coloured rear shockers, a red seat, and bar-end mirrors; all making it look even more special. Since it is a limited edition motorcycle, Royal Enfield is also offering an ‘Icon’ livery Intercept jacket along with the purchase of the bike.
The Icon Edition Shotgun is limited to only 100 units globally. For India, Royal Enfield has reserved only a handful of 25 units. For buying it, customers will have to wait until February 12. Once the bookings commence, the bike will be sold on a first-come basis.
Mind you, there are no mechanical changes to it. This means it continues using the smooth and powerful 648cc parallel-twin engine. This engine generates 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak power and torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed transmission along with a slipper-assist clutch.
The special edition Shotgun is priced at Rs 4.25 lakh ex-showroom, making it nearly Rs 66,000 costlier than the standard base variant.
