Royal Enfield SG650 Twin Concept Motorcycle revealed at EICMA 2021

Royal Enfield has introduced the all-new SG650 Twin Concept motorcycle at the EICMA (International Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition) in Milan. The new SG650 Concept marks a new chapter in the brand’s 120-year-old journey renowned for its conceptual development and expression. The brand reveals that the SG650 Concept highlights Royal Enfield’s Industrial Design Team led by Mark Wells, Chief of Design. The new SG650 Concept offers Royal Enfield’s design sensibilities along with the brand’s classic design theme. In addition to this, the brand also showcases the future of Royal Enfield’s design, pushing the brand into a whole new era of motorcycling. 

Royal Enfield SG650 Twin Concept – Design Highlights

The new Royal Enfield SG650 Twin Concept features a contemporary low slung design with a muscular power cruiser body. The design on the SG650 Concept bridges the gap between the classic designs with the future of motorcycling. The SG650 Concept offers a motorcycle for the new cyber, neon saturated, urban jungle. The bike comes with a classic rounded headlamp with a shroud that offers a sleek and aerodynamic look on the front. The bike also comes with an elongated fuel tank with digital graphics. The SG 650 Concept provides a floating single-seat and chopped-off front and rear fenders. Also, giving the bike low slung looks are the bar-end mounted mirrors. 

Royal Enfield SG650 Twin Concept – Features

Royal Enfield reveals that the components are one-off fabricated and individually designed. The tank has been CNC billet machined from a solid block of aluminium. The bike also comes with uniquely designed brake callipers and dual front brake discs. Also individually designed are the integrated aluminium top yoke/nacelle unit. The bike also comes with low rise extra-wider bars with all aluminium switch cubes. 

Royal Enfield SG650 Twin Concept – Powertrain

Powering the Royal Enfield SG650 Twin Concept is a blackout 650 Twin engine and exhaust system. The Euro5 compliant engine powers the current generation Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 in the global markets. The powertrain produces 47 Hp of power and 52 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed transmission.
