Royal Enfield has plans for a few motorcycles in the coming months. As of now, we got to see the Himalayan 450, Bullet 350, and a few more. This time around, it seems Royal Enfield is readying itself for the Shotgun 650. The motorcycle has made another appearance on public roads, and here’s what we know about it.
What Could The Shotgun 650 Look Like?
On the design front, we see the Shotgun 650 features a retro theme all over. We know that the test motorcycle uses a round headlight as revealed in the previous spy shots. Now we know that the Shotgun would also get a split seat setup and a tubular grab rail setup on each side. Once launched, this motorcycle will become the fourth Royal Enfield motorcycle in the 650cc segment.
What Do We Know So Far?
Like the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650, the Shotgun might equip a 648cc parallel-twin motor with a six-speed gearbox. The power output of this motor reads as 47 BHP and 52 Nm output. This is the same for the aforementioned models. The motorcycle might also get twin-pod instrumentation. We assume Royal Enfield will use the larger pod for the speedometer, odometer, trip metre, a digital inset for the fuel reading, and other readouts. Meanwhile, the smaller pod will equip the Tripper Navigation system.
Apart from that, we know that the Shotgun 650 will equip USD front forks, just like the Super Meteor, and ride on twin rear shocks. The braking power comes from a single front and rear disc with ABS. The setup will find its place on alloy wheels wrapped in road-biassed rubber. Royal Enfield could also choose to offer an array of accessories with the Shotgun 650.

As it stands, the Meteor 650 is the most premium and expensive motorcycle in Royal Enfield’s lineup. And once the Shotgun arrives it will sit below it. We say this because the test mule looks closer to the production version and could arrive on the market very soon.
