Royal Enfield launches single-seat Classic 350

While Jawa has launched the Perak bobber motorcycle just a few hours back priced at INR 1.95 lakh, Royal Enfield has taken the opportunity to introduce a single-seater motorcycle as well. Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 motorcycle with a single seat which makes it a direct rival to the Perak. However, the engines on both motorcycles are worlds apart as the Jawa comes with liquid-cooling while the Royal Enfield motor is an old-school air-cooled unit.

Royal Enfield has launched the single-seater Classic 350 under their Make Your Own initiative where one can customize their brand new motorcycle, to suit their personality. The single-seater Classic 350 has been priced at INR 1.45 lakh ex-showroom which is significantly cheaper than the Jawa Perak. The customization program is active in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Chennal, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor producing 19.80 BHP of peak oower @ 5250 RPM and 28 Nm of peak torque @ 4000 RPM matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike is now offered with a dual channel ABS system.

Royal Enfield is also gearing up to launch the new generation of Classic 350 & 500 models. The bikes are expected to debut later this month at the Rider Mania event in Goa. The engines are expected to become BSVI compliant and will also get modern technology to meet the ever increasing competition in the modern classic segment. The Classic 350 is the brands most loved motorcycle after the Bullet brand and is easily the most recognizable motorcycle in India. Royal Enfield enjoys a cult status in the motorcycle segment in India, even with the flaws which might be present on the motorcycle.

However new accessories via the Make Your Own initiative should soon be available to existing customers as an aftermarket kit via showrooms. Those opting for this while booking the bike will have the accessories fit straight from the production line, and these parts will be adhering to the RTO guidelines.
