Royal Enfield launches Goan Classic 350 in India at INR 2.35 lakh

Royal Enfield has launched the Goan Classic 350, a new addition to its 350cc lineup, at the Motoverse 2024 event in Goa. The Goan Classic 350 is priced at INR 2.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai) for the single-tone variants and INR 2.38 lakh for the dual-tone options.

Design and Features

The Goan Classic 350 is a bobber-style motorcycle that retains the classic aesthetics of the Royal Enfield brand while incorporating modern design elements. It features ape-hanger handlebars, white-wall tires, slash-cut exhaust, and painted wire-spoke wheels. The motorcycle is available in four vibrant color options: Rave Red, Trip Teal, Shack Black, and Purple Haze.

Performance and Specifications

The Goan Classic 350 is powered by the 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which delivers 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, providing a smooth and responsive riding experience. The motorcycle features telescopic front forks, rear twin shock absorbers, and disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Royal Enfield will also provide a removable pillion seat which bolts on to the front seat with two screws. It is easy to remove and attach whenever required. However, it does not get rear grab handles and is a short seat which might be a little uncomfortable for the pillion.

The higher handle bar and front set footrest gives the rider a relaxed riding position with no stress on the wrists. The motorcycle is good to ride in the city for short durations, wouldn’t be as comfortable for longer highway tours.

Market Position and Competition

The Goan Classic 350 is positioned as a premium lifestyle vehicle and is expected to compete with other bobber-style motorcycles in the market, such as the Jawa Perak and the Jawa 42 Bobber.

Our Thoughts

The Goan Classic 350 is a lifestyle motorcycle for someone who is looking for a relaxed riding stance. It is good for short distances and casual weekend rides. It is priced a little higher than the Classic 350. The additional price gets you a new handlebar, bigger tyres which look good with the white walls and are tubeless, and vibrant colours.
