Royal Enfield announces a price hike for the Meteor 350. This will make the motorcycle dearer by INR 25,000. The bike was launched in November last year with a sticker price of INR 1.75 lakh. Then in January this year, there was a price hike of around INR 3,000. Again in July, Royal Enfield hiked the price of the Meteor 350 by up to INR 10,000. And now, this is the third time that Royal Enfield has increased the price. After this latest price hike Meteor 350 range starts at INR 1.99 lakh for the Fireball trim. The other two trims, Stellar and Supernova, retail at INR 2.05 lakh and INR 2.15 lakh, respectively. All the prices mentioned are in the ex-showroom.
The motorcycle gets the all-new 349cc single-cylinder engine that makes 20.2 BHP of power and 27 Nm of torque. Riders might complain about the equipped 5-speed gearbox, as we all wished for a 6-speed unit. This new engine gets a host of mechanical changes. Royal Enfield is using an oil circuit in the 2-valve head of this single-cylinder motor. This helps in cooling the engine more efficiently. The use of a newly developed double-cradle chassis helps in minimising the vibrations to a great extent. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork at the front and dual shock absorbers in the rear. The braking power comes from the 300mm disc at the front and the 270mm disc at the rear.
The motorcycle gets all the necessary kit of today’s standard. This includes a digital cum analogue speedometer cluster, tripper digital screen with Google maps integration, Bluetooth connectivity and more. For the rider’s convenience, the motorcycle also gets a split seat setup, a foot-forward cruiser rider triangle, and a pulled back handlebar. The dark theme for the mechanical parts, full-sized alloys, tubeless tyres and full-sized exhaust perfectly complement the Meteor 350’s overall outlook.
