Royal Enfield hikes Meteor 350 price by up to INR 10,000

From 1st July 2021, Royal Enfield announced a price hike on the Meteor 350 motorcycle. The price hike is on all Meteor 450 variants – the Fireball, Stellar and Supernova. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball is now ~INR 9,440 on the ex-showroom price. The mid-spec Stellar gets a price hike of ~INR 9,665 on the ex-showroom price. The top-spec Supernova is the most affected, with a price hike of ~INR 10,050 on the ex-showroom price in Bengaluru. Apart from the price change, the Meteor 350 does not get any cosmetic or mechanical changes. The price hike is also likely to be because of the rise in the cost of raw materials in India. 

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 – On-Road Price in Mumbai

According to Royal Enfield’s official website, the Meteor 350 Fireball comes with an on-road starting price of INR 2,24,805. Depending on the colour, the price increases by INR 2,000. The Stellar model comes with a starting on-road price of INR 2,31,581. Depending on the colour, the motorcycle also gets expensive by ~INR 2,001. The bike in the Supernova avatar comes with a starting price tag of INR 2,42,878, and the price increases by INR 2,000 depending on the colour. 

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 – Engine Specifications

Powering the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is the same BS6 emission-compliant single-cylinder motor. The J-series long-stroke engine comes with air and oil-cooling with the oil passages cleverly designed into the head of the motorcycle. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 comes with a sophisticated fuel-injection system that helps it produce 20.2 Bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 5-speed gearbox and a mechanically operated wet-multi-plate clutch. 

Royal Enfield Upcoming Bikes

Royal Enfield is planning to bring several new motorcycles to the Indian market in the near future. The brand could leverage the new J-series engine, which now comes with an advanced cam-chain-drive system instead of the push-rod valve distribution. This new engine and chassis, which made its debut on the Meteor 350, are likely to power the upcoming Classic 350 in India. The brand is also developing new motorcycles on the 650 Twin platform.
