In July 2024, Royal Enfield reported total sales of 60,755 units, with the Himalayan 450 accounting for 2,769 units and the Guerrilla 450 for 1,469 units. Although the Himalayan 450 initially led by 1,300 units, the scenario changed dramatically in August 2024. The Guerrilla 450 sold 2,205 units, surpassing the Himalayan 450, which sold 2,009 units.
The Himalayan 450 experienced a significant decline in sales, with a 47.90% year-over-year drop in August 2024 compared to the same month in 2023. In contrast, the Guerrilla 450 saw a 50.10% month-over-month growth, indicating a strong upward trend.
The success of the Guerrilla 450 reflects a shift in consumer preferences towards more versatile and affordable motorcycles. Royal Enfield’s strategy to diversify its product lineup with models like the Guerrilla 450 is paying off, attracting a new segment of riders.
