Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler test bike reveals more details

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Royal Enfield is readying itself to launch a slew of motorcycles based on the tried and tested 650cc platform. This is the same platform that will also underpin the upcoming Super Meteor 650. The latest to join this bandwagon is a 650cc scrambler. This motorcycle was recently spied testing in India, and now we have the spy shots as well. These latest spy pictures give us a few hints of the changes to what was seen on the previous test mule.

Royal Enfield 650cc Scrambler Details

Back when Royal Enfield’s 650cc scrambler was spotted overseas, it got sported flat-tracker style side panels. But these were not present on the bike that was spotted for the first time on our shores. But interestingly, now, they have made a comeback, albeit the overall finish still looks quite rough. So we understand that this particular Royal Enfield is still some time away.

Its tail lamp, indicators, instrument cluster, and switches are the same as those seen in the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The spy-shotted motorcycle was wearing running on block-pattern tires that resemble the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR very closely in terms of the tread pattern. The twin shocks and non-adjustable USD fork continue to be the same. So is the side-slung exhaust, which is unique to this bike.

More Updates

Royal Enfield is gearing up to go all out at the upcoming EICMA show in November. Here it is quite likely to reveal at least one new model. We know that the launch of the particular model is quite some time away from now. Furthermore, Royal Enfield will most likely launch one of the multiple new models they have tested.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650 have been undergoing massive testing for quite a while now. In fact, even the new liquid-cooled Himalayan and the revamped Bullet 350 are in the plans.
