Rimac reveals Nevera one-of-12 Limited Edition

The all-electric Rimac Nevera has broken the Nurburgring lap record for a production EV. To celebrate the occasion, Rimac has announced a limited version of the car. The Nevera Time Attack is showcased at the Pebble Beach.

Rimac Nevera Nurburgring Record

The all-electric Nevera set a time of 7 minutes and 5 seconds to complete the 20.6 km Nurburgring lap. This car was helmed by Croatian racing driver Martin Kodrik.

The previous record for an EV car was held by the Tesla Model S Track Pack. The Nevera beat its time of 7 minutes 25.231 seconds by over 20 seconds.

What’s new in the Nevera Time Attack?

The first model from this set was finished in black with lightning green highlights. These include twin stripes, lower body parts and wheel. Further the wheels and the bumpers got the green treatment as well.

On the inside, there is ample use of Alcantara with contrast stitching in green. There is a ‘Time Attack: 1 of 12’ plaque on the inside as well.

Powertrain of the Nevera Time Attack

Powering the Rimac Nevera are four bespoke surface-mounted permanent magnet electric motors. The motors develop 1,914 Hp of power and 2,360 Nm of torque. This output is almost three times the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) supercar. The Nevera comes with a single-speed gearbox and can summon the maximum amount of torque on demand. The brand also boasts that the electric motors are 97% efficient and completely maintenance-free.

Other records of the Nevera

The Nevera also holds the title of being the fastest accelerating car over a quarter mile, which was completed in 8.582 seconds. The electric hypercar is capable of accelerating from 0 – 100 km/h in just 1.95 sec, thanks to its four electric motors, which produce a combined total of 1,914 BHP. While the record-setting Nevera has clocked 412 km/h, the cars delivered to customers come with an electronically-limited top speed of 352 km/h.
