Rimac reveals C_Two hypercar, 0-60 mph in 1.85 seconds

How fast is too fast? Well, with changing times, records are just meant to be broken. Rimac Automobili have revealed their second electric hypercar dubbed as the C_Two at the Geneva Motor Show. The new C_Two is significantly more powerful than its predecessor.

Powering the C_Two are electric motors producing 1,914 PS of power and 2,300 Nm of torque. Mind numbing figures eh? The Rimac C_Two can sprint from 0-60 mph in 1.85 seconds, and 0-100 mph (0-160 kmph) in 4.3 seconds. The C_Two will have a top speed of 258 mph (412 kmph). The previous record was announced by Tesla for their new roadster which would sprint from 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds.

Another astonishing feature is the driving range. Rimac claims that the C_Two can be driver for 404 miles (650 km) on a single charge.

For the Rimac C_Two, each wheel is powered by an independent electric motor. The car makes use of a single-speed gearbox on the front and has a pair of 2-speed gearboxes for the rear. Along with torque vectoring, the Rimac C_Two propels the car with the help of AWD, which is necessary with this much power. The 120 kWh battery pack comes with liquid-cooling for thermal management.

The C_Two will also come with autonomous driving, radar connectivity, 8 on-board cameras, artificial intelligence and much more.

Rimac will start producing the C_Two from later this year, and will have only 150 units to offer.
