Revolt Motors has announced that the recently launched commuter electric motorcycle, the RV1 has bagged 16,000 bookings. The milestone has been achieved in just a week of its launch and reveals the demand that the brand is receiving for the new electric motorcycle in the Indian market. Revolt also claims that the new RV1 is a “game changer” in the Indian two-wheeler segment and the first commuter electric motorcycle has been massively accepted here.
On the 17th of September, Revolt launched the RV1 and RV1+ in the Indian market with an introductory price of INR 84,990 ex-showroom. Even its higher spec version the RV1+ comes with a price tag of INR 99,990 ex-showroom. Thanks to the competitive price point the brand will be able to rival some internal combustion engine vehicles, in its segment as well. And 16,000 bookings within one week of launch is in itself a testament that the RV1 has promoted EV adoption.
The affordable electric motorcycle is powered by a 2.2 kWh battery pack which claims to offer a range of 100 km on a single charge. The larger and more premium RV1+ comes with a 3.24 kWh battery that extends its range to 160 km on a single charge. The brand also claims that the batteries on the RV1 and RV1+ are IP67 rated keeping safety in mind. The commuter electric motorcycle also claims to come with a significantly higher payload capacity of 250 kgs which is around 100kg more than standard motorcycles in the commuter segment. The electric motorcycle also comes with features such as a 6-inch digital LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlights, Reverse mode etc.
Both the Revolt RV1 and RV1+ are available to order from Revolt Motors showroom across the country as well as through the brand’s online sales channels.
