Revolt Motors has launched the new Revolt RV1 electric motorcycle in the Indian market. The brand has revealed that the RV1 comes with a starting price tag of INR 84,990 ex-showroom. In addition to this, Revolt has also revealed the more premium RV1+ which comes with a price tag of INR 99,990 ex-showroom.
Thanks to the Revolt RV1’s affordable price range, the electric motorcycle segment will get a boost in sales. Also, the reasonable cost of the more premium RV1+ and the low cost of ownership of the electric motorcycles, the brand will be able to target a wider audience. The brand also claims that its electric motorcycles offer up to three times lower ownership costs when compared to petrol motorcycles in the same category.
Powering the RV1 electric motorcycle is a 2.2 kWh battery which claims to return up to 100km of range. Optionally, the brand also offers the RV1 with a larger 3.24 kWh battery that claims to extend the range to 160 km. The brand reveals that both the batteries are IP67 rated and a significantly higher payload capacity of 250 kgs around 100kg more than standard motorcycles in the segment. The EV also comes with a mid mounted motor and chain drive system. Broader tyres also improve the grip and stability of the electric motorcycle in both city and highway roads.
The motorcycle also gets premium features such as a 6-inch digital LCD display, LED headlights, Bluetooth connectivity, a long seat, Reverse mode and more. The motorcycle also claims to come with advanced suspension system, to keep the rider comfortable and its seat height is also quite good so even riders with inseam challenges can ride the motorcycle with ease. With the launch of the Revolt RV1 and RV1+, the brand has further bolstered its electric motorcycle portfolio which already includes the popular RV400 and RV400 BRZ.
