Revolt Motors has announced that the electric mobility brand will reopen bookings for the RV 300 and RV 400 on 15th July 2021. When the brand opened bookings the last time, almost a month ago, the electric motorcycles were sold out in just 2 hours. The brand also announced that it is currently focussing on delivering the electric motorcycles this month. In addition to this, the brand is also scaling up the production capabilities to ensure timely deliveries of the bike. The brand has its production facility at the auto hub of Manesar in Haryana.
Revolt has also announced that the booking process has been made entirely online. Customers can register the Revolt motorcycles by registering on the ‘Notify Me’ tab on the official website. Revolt’s electric motorcycles are currently in high demand as fuel prices have sharply risen in the country. Revolt’s motorcycle requires just INR 9 per 100 km compared to INR 250 per 100 km for petrol bikes; the electric bike also saves the environment. Along with savings on petrol, various state governments also provide direct cash transfers of amounts up to INR 20,000 for purchase these electric bikes.
The Revolt RV 400 comes with a 3KW (Mid Drive) motor and a 72V architecture. The electric motor 3.24KWh Lithium-Ion battery is able to reach a top speed of 85 kmph. On the other hand, the RV 300 comes with a 1.5 kWh hub-mounted motor with a 60V architecture and a 2.7 kWh lithium-ion battery. The RV 300 is capable of a long-range of 180 km to a single charge.
Revolt Motorcycles also come with riding modes – Eco, Normal and Sport, USD forks and a fully adjustable monoshock. The RV 400 also comes with customised sounds, battery status, complete bike diagnostics, bike locator/Geo-fencing, etc. The motorcycle also comes with a touchscreen dashboard. The Revolt also offers a portable and swappable battery system, and customers can swap batteries at Revolt Switch Station in just 60 seconds.
